Candace Rice is an American television personality and boutique owner. She is best known as one of the main cast members on the 2017 MTV reality show Floribama Shore.
Candace is the quintessential Southern belle among the roommates, and her quick wit and no-nonsense demeanor make her a voice of reason in the house. As the big sister of the group, Candace takes care of everyone. This fashionista is always ready to defend her friends, offer words of encouragement and bless family dinners.

Quotes[]
- "I'm not drunk! I am happy."
- "It's Georgibama Shore!"
Relationships[]
Codi[]
Codi has had a hush crush on Candace during the early seasons, however Candace never fully reciprocated his feelings. They went on a couple dates, but Candace never saw him more than a friend.
Aimee[]
Aimee and Candace got close to each other between seasons, even having an agreement for almost a year to room together. However, Aimee went back on her word and roomed with Nilsa, which hurt Candace. Despite this and their arguement over it, Aimee and Candace still have a solid friendship throughout the series.
Jeremiah[]
Candace and Jeremiah were not close in the first few seasons. Jeremiah often joined in on her and Gus' arguments, usually siding with his best friend at the time. He also joined in on making fun of Gatorjay's name, Candace's boyfriend at the time. The two also had vastly different outlooks and opinions on life. However they became better friends during the fourth season after Gus tried to fight Jeremiah. Candace comforted Jeremiah after the fight, saying she initially took Gus' side in their feud, but can't excuse his actions during game night.[1]
Gus[]
Candace and Gus became closer in Season 2, but they had disagreements because of their different views on life. They stuck up for each other multiple times. However in Season 4, Gus took Candace’s hairdryer without permission, causing a fight between them. This fight led to Gus fleeing the house and going missing, causing a search party. They sort of patched things up when Gus returned, but they bumped heads again while in Georgia. Candace felt Gus ignored her and didn’t actually like her, but he begged a differ. She was also upset about Gus' sister threatening to beat her up when he went missing in Montana. They eventually squash their beef and wiped the slate clean. Whatever friendship they had seemed to dissolve due to some off-screen drama between them that played out on social media. Gus accused Candace of being the most "racist person in the house".
Nilsa[]
Nilsa and Candace were fast friends in the first season, where they often gossiped with each other. They rarely fought with each other, except for one time while in St. Pete over the room situation. Nilsa would sometimes try to have Candace's back, because Candace has expressed how she doesn't feel like no one is in her corner.
Kirk[]
As the only two black people in the group, Candace and Kirk agreed to be a united front and set an example for the rest of them. However, Kirk wouldn't always back Candace up, which frustrated her. Nonetheless, the two were always able to talk it out at the end and still be friends afterwards.
Kortni[]
In the first couple seasons, Candace felt she was the closest to Kortni despite the latter peeing in the former's bed the very first night. However, there's been times where Kortni didn't have Candace's back and by the third season, Candace did not want to room with her. Kortni also outright said she doesn't like Candace over some pancakes, although it’s unclear why. Despite the animosity, Candace has tried to extend an olive branch and supported Kortni when she was sick and had her panic attack in the cab in season 3.
The two do not seem to be on good terms, as Candace alluded to Kortni calling her a racial slur. During an interview, when asked if she had anything to add on Kortni's absence, Candace simply replied, "no".
Trivia[]
- Candace said that two cast members had called her N-word but it never aired, but she didn’t name them. It’s been speculated that it was either Kortni, Gus, and/or Jeremiah.[2]
- She was the second cast member to get pregnant after Nilsa.
- She was born in St. Louis, but grew up in Memphis.
