Jonathan Manfre, better known as The Unit, is a former friend of The Situation, who's made several appearances on Jersey Shore. He and Mike were one in the same, as he liked to cause trouble and instigate drama, which annoyed the roommates.

Nicole and The Unit instigate a fight with each other at the bar. Jonny threatens to expose Nicole for allegedly hooking up with Mike, which pisses her off.[1] While coming home from the bars, The Unit got arrested, which Mike says ot was for public intoxication.[2]

When Sammi returned and was catching up with the roommates, she had asked Mike if he was still friends the Unit. He says he wasn't and they haven't spoken or seen each other for a very long time.[3]

However, once Mike got sober, the two lost touch and are no longer friends.

- Years later, it was revealed his arrested shown on the show was actually for drug possession, as well as carrying a weapon.[4] He ended up being released the same day and paid a fine.
