Behind the scenes[]
It was decided that the cast would work here due to its Italian roots. The cast worked four hour shifts. Owner and proprietor, Enzo Biondi, has never seen the show, but took a chance on having the cast work for him in his shop. He has never heard of the term “guido” or “guidette” and it was a culture shock for him when he met the roommates. Biondi has said that Vinny is the only “real” Italian, and he’s the only one who knows how to speak the language, albeit not very well.[3] The shop was closed sometime after the show, and the building was knocked down and rebuilt as a hotel.
Trivia[]
- "Lecca-lecca" is Italian, which translates to "lollipop" in English.
