Season 2 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, (dubbed Jersey Shore: Family Vacation – Part 2 for 2A), premiered on August 23, 2018 and ran until August 15, 2019. The season was broken into two parts, with the second part airing on July 11, 2019.

MTV today announced that the highly anticipated "Jersey Shore Family Vacation Part 2" returns with a two-hour premiere on Thursday, August 23 at 8:00PM ET/PT. The first hour will be simulcast globally across Viacom’s international network of MTV channels in nearly 180 countries. The second season of cable’s #1 series with 18-34 kicks off with the housemates in Las Vegas then brings them back to New Jersey where it all started, for a weekend in Atlantic City and some fun on the shore. From welcoming new family members to reliving their glory days and celebrating milestones together, the housemates return for even more fist pumping and grand antics. But, when their personal lives spill out into the tabloids and on social media, the group must confront a variety of issues.[1]

Jerzdays are officially back. MTV’s “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” the #1 unscripted series on cable in 2018 and the highest-rated cable series launch in the past six years, returns with new episodes starting Thursday, July 11th at 8PM ET/PT. The roommates may be back, but a lot has changed, as the squad rallies around Mike, who’s facing prison time and planning a wedding. At the same time, Deena’s about to give birth, Jenni’s contemplating divorce, Ronnie’s fed up with all the jokes at his expense, and Pauly can’t resist just one wedding prank. Through the challenges and fears, pranks and surprise wedding guests, is the humor that keeps this group together and proves that facing life’s twists and turns is easier with friends.[2]
Background
On February 28, 2018, a second season was ordered ahead of the series premiere. The second season premiered on August 23, 2018, and began with a vacation to Las Vegas. The remainder of filming took place in various New Jersey locations including Seaside Heights, Atlantic City, Manalapan, and Point Pleasant. The second half of season two premiered on July 11, 2019, and focused around Sorrentino's court sentencing for tax evasion and his wedding. Filming locations included Stony Creek Ranch Resort in Stony Creek, NY, and The Legacy Castle located in Pompton Plains, NJ.
The season also focused on Jenni's divorce from Roger Matthews, Deena's pregnancy, Angelina's efforts to build her relationships with the roommates, and more of Ronnie's tumultuous relationship with Jen Harley.
